Let’s Play Videogame Festival in Rome

Finally the city we are based in gets a dedicated videogames event! We’re just back from an awesome day at Let’s Play Videogame Festival in Rome. Let’s play Videogames Festival is on from the 15th to the 19th of March in the Guido Reni District, it’s a special event for gamers and casual fans alike, but it’s also a great opportunity to come together for people involved in the games industry and Government Institutions. dsc_00311 On the event floor you can find a great number of games displayed for everyone to enjoy and play. There are different areas dedicated to the latest games published on all platforms, game trailers, indie gaming, retro gaming and, of course, the Motorsport Gaming booth where you can play Overvolt: crazy slot cars and take a sneak peek at the projects we are currently working on. The festival also allows fans and developers to attend a number of panels and talks with various targets in mind. Some of the talks are more technical and role specific, often with special guests, while other ones are broader and aim at gathering the interest of the general public, sparking up a discussion on what goes on in the games industry and what can be done to improve its growth and success. Motorsport Gaming wasn’t just involved in showcasing our project: our CEO Matteo participated as a speaker in one of these talks, where he outlined the importance of the cooperation between the games industry and the schools and universities that prepare future game developers. We thoroughly enjoyed our presence at Let’s Play, and we hope that it will become a recurring event here in Rome.
